The HEADstrong Foundation is pleased to present Team Attack Cancer, a series of elite level squads that will participate in high-profile lacrosse tournaments across the country, all while raising money for families affected by cancer.

These teams give elite lacrosse players from across the country an opportunity to use their platform to pair their passion for the game with purpose and philanthropy. All members of the team will raise a specific domination prior to the event and also have the ability to unlock limited edition equipment and gear based on their fundraising efforts. All money raised through fundraising will go toward furthering HEADstrong’s mission of assisting families affected by cancer through emotional, financial and residential support.

As a charitable organization that leverages the power of athletics as a mechanism to improve lives affected by cancer, the HEADstrong Foundation has built significant relationships with lacrosses most respected event operators, brands, personalities, coaches, teams and athletes. Those relationships will be on full display from the destinations to the competition level to accommodations and limited edition gear. For more information on the HEADstrong Foundation please visit www.HEADstrong.org or follow on social media at @HEADstrongFND.
Meet Ken Clausen, National Director of Attack Cancer

A 2010 graduate of the University of Virginia, Clausen was a four-time All-American with the Cavaliers, including three First Team selections. In his senior season, he won the Schmeisser Cup as the top defenseman and was a finalist for the Tewaarton Award. The 5th overall selection in the 2010 Major League Lacrosse draft by the Denver Outlaws, Clausen spent six seasons in the MLL, capturing a title with the Outlaws in 2014.

Clausen is no stranger to the HEADstrong Foundation, as he co-founded the foundationโ€™s largest third-party fundraising campaign, Lacrosse Mustache Madness, in the fall of 2009 while a senior at Virginia. Clausen, who shared a position, a number and a birthday with HEADstrong founder Nicholas Colleluori, wanted to do something to support Nickโ€™s vision while involving his teammates and fellow student-athletes and since its inception, the campaign has raised over two million dollars and involved tens of thousands of collegiate lacrosse players across the country.

In addition to his playing experience, Clausen also has extensive experience on the sidelines as both a high school and professional coach. In seven seasons as a high school defensive coordinator with two teams in Colorado, Clausen captured one state championship and coached numerous All-Conference, All-State and All-American selections. He parlayed that experience into a season as the defensive coordinator with the Denver Outlaws before spending the last two seasons as the defensive coordinator with Atlas LC of the Premier Lacrosse League.
