Overtime; #LastShift2020 High School Virtual Challenge Surpasses $30K For HEADstrong
A call to action led by #1 ranked Culver Academy boys lacrosse coach Jon Posner and #1 ranked McDonogh School girls lacrosse coach Taylor Cummings inspired more than 700 high school student athletes, representing 53 teams to participate in #LastShift2020, a virtual 5K challenge on April 27th in support of the HEADstrong Foundation. The high school version of the campaign raised over $30,000 pushing the campaign total to over $120,000 in support of families at the highest risk of COVID-19 due to cancer.
Student-athletes took to their social media feeds to share their experience, post their race routes and celebrate the moment of solidarity among student-athletes who had their seasons halted due to the pandemic.

“On behalf of the HEADstrong Foundation and those who rely on essential services, we wish to extend our sincere appreciation to the athletes, teams, families and all that contributed to the success of the #LastShift2020 High School Virtual 5K Challenge. We are so proud and inspired by this humanitarian act in support of those at the highest risk of COVID-19 due to their cancer. It was so amazing to witness athletes nationwide, rising up together against the thing that halted their season. A true act of generosity and maturity. Right now our hearts are with all of those student-athletes who have been affected by the pandemic and our hands are holding those trying to navigate this storm. Thank you for using your platform to make a statement and be the difference for others.” Cheryl Colleluori, HEADstrong President and Nick’s Mom.
