NetNation Announces “Save A Life” Campaign in Support of the HEADstrong Foundation
PHILADELPHIA, PA – Brian Dougherty, Drew Adams, Austin Kaut and Niko Amato are revered as four of the most accomplished goaltenders in game of the lacrosse and while saving shots is what these four are best known for, this ensemble is now joining forces with the HEADstrong Foundation to save lives affected by cancer. NetNation, the leader in goalie instruction, positional training, coaching and mentorship, led by Dougherty, Adams, Kaut and Amato is proud to announce a newly formed community partnership with the HEADstrong Foundation. The partnership is intended to raise funds to support the essential services provided by the HEADstrong Foundation to improve lives affected by cancer while providing athletes with a philanthropic activity to fulfill community service requirements and or collegiate prerequisites.
Beginning this season, Goalies from across the country will have the ability to Go Lime and compete in the “Save A Life”, an interactive online fundraising effort in which goaltenders will track saves and use them as a measure for driving pledges for the cause. Participants will share their statistical and fundraising progress using social media platforms and will empower their social network, friends and family to contribute reoccurring pledges throughout the season. NetNation and HEADstrong plan to reward top participating goalies with incentives and prizes. NetNation plans to integrate the “Save A Life” into upcoming events across country.
“I had the privilege of calling HEADstrong founder Nicholas Colleluori a teammate and over the years all of the members of our NetNation staff have all been directly involved in supporting the amazing efforts of this great organization. We are very proud to announce this new partnership and believe that it will be a great opportunity for goalies across the country to gain better perspective while providing them with a special way to give back to those in need through their performances on the playing field. As goalies we are the last line of defense so to speak and we know that our efforts this season will be essential in saving lives affected by cancer through the relentless efforts of the HEADstrong Foundation” Drew Adams, NetNation.
Goalies can NOW register and create their individual fundraising page.
NOT A GOALIE? NO PROBLEM! Athletes from all sports and levels are Going Lime and pledging their stats this season to assist the HEADstrong Foundation and families affected by CANCER. Start a Go Lime fundraising page that will allow your family, friends and fans to pledge a dollar amount for any trackable stat that you choose this season for any position and any sport. This is a fun and interactive way for athletes to have an impact and make their performance count on and off the field. https://pledgeit.org/for/golime

About HEADstrong Foundation
The HEADstrong Foundation is a non-profit organization committed to improving lives affected by cancer. HEADstrong was founded by Nicholas Colleluori, a Division I athlete entering his sophomore year at Hofstra University when he was terminally diagnosed with cancer. His public fight from the sidelines captivated the nation and from his hospital bed he created an organization focused on empowering student-athletes to improve lives affected by the disease. His vision was simple yet critical; helping real families when they needed it most, providing support so that families may live with a greater dignity and normalcy. Colleluori fought to improve the inpatient experience, the affordability and accessibility of care and tackled the general concerns facing the patient population. Understanding the ripple effect and impact that a cancer diagnosis had on a family, Colleluori championed efforts to support caregivers and capital projects to improve accommodations. He built an awareness platform driven by lime green shoelaces, the national awareness color for non-Hodgkin’s Lymphoma. He empowered his own family and in the last days of his life asked them to pick up the ball where he left off. It’s a promise that the Colleluori family continues to fulfill through the essential programs and services offered by the HEADstrong Foundation, www.HEADstrong.org. HEADstrong invests more than $.90 of every dollar into a service offering 100% committed to improving the quality of life for families affected by cancer. HEADstrong grants financial assistance, funds projects to improve the inpatient experience, provides meals and outlets of entertainment, delivers comfort kits, peer support and most notably operates Nick’s House™, a haven of comfort for families seeking comprehensive cancer care.
