First Presenting Sponsor in Light The Night Philadelphia Walk’s History

Light The Night, the signature fundraising Walk campaign for the Eastern Pennsylvania Chapter of The Leukemia & Lymphoma Society (LLS), is pleased to announce its first Presenting Sponsor in Philadelphia Walk Light The Night history. The HEADstrong Foundation has partnered with Light The Night to contribute an impressive $50,000 towards the 2010 Philadelphia Walk campaign.

“We are both grateful and honored to have the support of The HEADstrong Foundation. They are a force within the community. With a first-time Presenting Sponsor, along with a new Walk site at The Art Museum, we are confident that we will elevate Light The Night’s exposure within the Philadelphia community,” says Sarah Lindenmuth, Light The Night Campaign Director.

Cheryl Colleluori, President of The HEADstrong Foundation, expresses similar sentiments, “The HEADstrong Foundation is very proud to support the efforts of LLS in memory of Nick Colleluori. The decision to be Presenting Sponsor was a no brainer, as our organizations have similar missions – to cure blood cancers and improve the quality of life for patients and their families. The Colleluori family will continue to fight the disease that took our son and brother from us. This is one way for our family to stay connected to Nick with the hope that other families may be spared the anguish of this disease.”

There is still time to register for any of the Eastern Pennsylvania Chapter’s five Walks:

– Chester October 2, 2010 Wilson Farm Park
– Scranton October 2, 2010 Nay Aug Park
– Bucks-Mont October 9, 2010 New Site: Philadelphia Park Racetrack
– Lehigh Valley October 16, 2010 Northampton Community College
– Philadelphia October 23, 2010 New Site: The Art Museum

“Forming a Light The Night Walk team is the easiest way to get involved and make a significant impact. Simply gather friends, family or co-workers together, appoint a team captain and contact Light The Night staff to help you get started,” says Lindenmuth. “We are here to help every step of the way.”
