How HEADstrong Has a Positive Impact on Those Who Need It Most in Bucks County

Nick Colleluori’s last wish before passing away from non-Hodgkin’s Lymphoma was that others would benefit from his life. Our founder’s last request was the inspiration and motivation behind starting the HEADstrong Foundation, a team that offers financial, residential, and emotional support to families affected by cancer in Bucks County and the surrounding areas. Since 2007, we have worked tirelessly to positively impact those who need it most. Through our services and involvement from the community, we have created quite an impact in improving lives and making Nick’s last wish come true. 

Our Services 

At the HEADstrong Foundation, we have four services that work to create a positive impact on cancer patients and their families. Our first service, the HEADtable Program, provides meals and entertainment to cancer patients and their loved ones in hospitals located in Philadelphia and New York. We are proud to say that HEADtable has served 11,944 patients since it has begun. Next, we provide financial assistance for cancer patients and their families who are receiving treatment and experiencing financial hardship. Our third program, Nick’s House addresses the residential insecurity that families face when forced to travel in order to receive high-quality cancer treatment. Lastly, we provide peer-to-peer support for newly diagnosed cancer patients through our HEAD2head program.

Community Involvement 

The HEADstrong Foundation holds several events throughout the year where community members in Bucks County and surrounding communities can get involved in our mission. For those who enjoy dressing up and sipping an evening cocktail, we host an annual Lime Light Gala. If exercise is your passion, we organize numerous memorial runs throughout the year and work with athletes on how they can “Attack Cancer”. Other events include golf outings and our Lace-Up program, which involves athletes, survivors, and supports purchasing and wearing lime green shoelaces as a symbol of hope, strength, and unity. Without the continued support of our community fundraisers and these events, we would not have been able to raise $20 million for those in need.
