Honoring the Life of Charlotte Grace, the 2nd Annual 5k Goes Virtual on Friday June 26, 2020

The Radcliffe family of West Chester, PA have joined forces with the HEADstrong Foundation, a 501(c)(3) non-profit organization committed to providing essential services to improve lives affected by cancer by honoring their daughter Charlotte who succumbed to the disease in 2017 through the second annual Charlotte Grace 5k. This year’s event will look a little different due to the COVID-19 pandemic and will be held virtually on Friday June 26, 2020.

All are invited to participate in the event and honor Jackie and BJ’s courageous little girl. As a part of HEADstrong’s Fighter Funds program, all of the proceeds raised will go directly to improving lives of cancer patients and their families, just like the Radcliffe’s, who are pursuing life saving cancer treatment.

During inpatient treatments, Jackie and B.J. learned firsthand about the financial burdens that families go through with long hospitalizations for critically ill children. The costs associated with these stays are endless. They also witnessed children who were alone. They came to the sad realization that some families couldn’t stay together due to such financial constraints. It was during these days that B.J. and Jackie decided they needed to make a difference.

They founded the Charlotte Grace Fund to provide financial assistance to families of children that are battling pediatric cancers. It is their hope that the assistance they provide will allow families to stay together, spend time with those fighting and help to ease the burden that cancer can cause. The Charlotte Grace Fund provides grants for qualified recipients in an effort to help ensure the well-being of the families and offset the costs associated with transportation, parking, lodging and living expenses.

Participants are encouraged to register today, and start their fundraising leading up to the event. On Friday, head out on your 5k fun run or 1 mile walk, and make sure to share it on social media to keep the cancer fighting community united.
