HEADstrong Foundation To Host Expanded Alumni Challenge On Black Friday
PHILADELPHIA — On Black Friday, six of the most historic and successful high school lacrosse programs in Southeastern Pennsylvania will assemble their alumni to honor the past, celebrate their love of the game and support families affected by cancer.
On November 25th starting at 11 a.m., Penncrest will take on Strath Haven, then at 1 p.m. Lower Merion will face off against Marple Newtown and at 3 p.m. Conestoga will take on Radnor. All three games will take place at Bundt Cake Field at Marple Newtown High School and the event is hosted by the HEADstrong Foundation. Tickets are $5.00 with all proceeds going directly to HEADstrong to help local families affected by cancer.
This event is the third in a series, as Springfield and Ridley faced off in the first-ever alumni game in 2019 and added Strath Haven and Penncrest in 2021 for year two. For year three, the foundation is excited to expand and grow the event by adding other additional historical programs to the challenge.
As part of the event, local HEADstrong heroes who are currently battling cancer will be honored at halftime of the Lower Merion/Marple Newtown game.
Alumni from all teams can get more information and register to participate in the event HERE.
