HEADstrong and True Sports donate 50 Lacrosse Sticks to Kingsway Youth Program

HEADstrong Foundation and HEADstrong Lacrosse founder, Nick Colleluori laid the groundwork for service and giving back. It was one of Nick Colleluori’s greatest passions and a driving force behind creating HEADstrong.

Last night, in partnership with True Sports, HEADstrong Lacrosse donated 50 sticks, 25 boys and 25 girls sticks to the Kingsway Youth Lacrosse Program in South Jersey. It was a great way to give back and help grow the game.

“Having a local club in South Jersey we are continuing to find ways to grow the game. Recreational lacrosse is where kids enter into the sport; however, many times kids do not have the right stick. This leads to them developing bad habits, getting frustrated and no longer sticking with the sport. We want to prevent this from happening and feel by arming local lacrosse programs with the right sticks can be instrumental.” – HEADstrong VP, Michael Colleluori

Last year, at the 1st annual alumni rivalry game on Black Friday, HEADstrong and True Sports donated 100 sticks, 50 boys and 50 girls sticks to Ridley and Springfield youth lacrosse programs in Delaware County, PA.

“TRUE Sports is proud to partner with the HEADstrong Lacrosse to help grow the game through our stick donation. The HEADstrong Foundation and HEADstrong Lacrosse is one of the most unifying organizations in our sport. Their mission is to put people first and they will always have our support” remarked Tom Burns, GM of TRUE Sports – Lacrosse.
