(PHILADELPHIA) – From handlebars to horseshoes, Lacrosse Mustache Madness saw a record number of participation this year.  In fact, 3,130 growers, representing 136 teams helped make campaign history by raising $447,000 in support of the HEADstrong Foundation.  With the annual facial hair growing fundraiser now concluded, campaign organizers have named the first ever All-LaxStache Team.  To find the best of the best, Lacrosse Mustache Madness co-founders Ken Clausen and Pat Colleluori scoured through tons of submissions to come up with an honorary team of 25 members whose facial hair stood out among the competition this year.

“Not only did we see record participation this year, but we saw some of the most incredible LaxStaches in campaign history,” said Ken Clausen, campaign founder. “From players, coaches and alumni, we had so many incredible lip warmers that it made it really hard to select our first honorary team.  We whittled it down to 25 of the most amazing mustaches that we’ve ever seen and we are so excited to announce the All-LaxStache Team for 2020.  This is a new and fun way that we are expanding our reach within the campaign and are very excited for the future.  We wish to extend our sincere appreciation and gratitude to everyone who tossed their razors this fall, made an effort and helped us achieve campaign history.”

Proceeds from Lacrosse Mustache Madness directly support the essential services provided by the HEADstrong Foundation on behalf of families overcome by cancer, including underwriting nights of lodging and accomodations at Nick’s House, a guest residence operated by the organization for families displaced in the pursuit of advanced cancer care.
