BBA Aviation Joins The Fight, Helping HEADstrong’s Services Take Flight

Holmes, PA – On Thursday January 24, 2013 members of BBA Aviation’s Philadelphia division visited Nick’s House™ and presented a check for $15,000 in support of the HEADstrong Foundation™ through BBA Aviation’s Charitable Giving Program. Through this generous contribution the HEADstrong Foundation is proud to name BBA Aviation as title sponsor of the 3rd Annual Lime Light Gala on March 15th at the Hyatt Regency Philadelphia at Penn’s Landing.

Presenting the check on behalf of BBA Aviation was Bryan Buck, Area General Manager, along with team members (General Manager Kevin Plescha, Michael Sveen, Joe O’Toole, Mike Hoffman, Adam Flechner, Gavin Schoepp and Jennifer Colleluori)

While being an international business with over 11,000 employees worldwide and locations on 5 continents BBA Aviation’s has taken a localized approach to supporting charitable endeavors. In 2010, BBA Aviation launched their Community Involvement and Charitable Giving Framework. The program allows employees and divisions to play an active role in a variety of local, regional and national organizations and charities. The program was launched in 2010 to support employees who are making a real and sustainable difference to initiatives within their industry and to the communities in which their employees live and work.

Just a few miles away from their Philadelphia offices, the HEADstrong Foundation™ operates Nick’s House™, a facility which provides complimentary lodging and accommodations for patients and families traveling to the Philadelphia region for blood cancer related treatment.
