NFL’s Chris Hogan To Be Honored at 6th Annual Lime Light Gala, 3/11
PHILADELPHIA – On Friday, March 11th the HEADstrong Foundation will present Buffalo Bills Wide Receiver Chris Hogan with the prestigious Relentless Spirit Award, at the 6th Annual Lime Light Gala. The Relentless Spirit Award was created to 2013 to honor an advocate committed to advancing the HEADstrong mission. Previous award recipients include: Professional Lacrosse Player Ken Clausen and Ironman, Survivor and Transplant Recipient Derek Fitzgerald. Over the past 3 seasons, the 6ft 1” wide receiver from Franklin Lakes, NJ has become a fan favorite to the Buffalo faithful.
In 2015, Hogan was named HEADstrong’s 1st National Football League ambassador and is working relentlessly to champion the cause across the league. Hogan finished the 2015-16 season with 36 receptions, 450 receiving yards and 2 touchdowns. HEADstrong’s lime green awareness bracelet has become a significant part of Hogan’s uniform, appearing on his wrist during all 16 games this past season. Aside from hosting several clinics and fundraisers in the offseason, Hogan plans to pledge each catch he makes next season for the cause.
“I am very humbled to be named the 2016 recipient of HEADstrong’s Relentless Spirit Award. It is my absolute pleasure to serve as Nick’s voice helping to raise cancer awareness by bridging the gap between the lacrosse and football community in order to unite against this deadly disease.” said Chris Hogan
