5th Annual Rivalry Games, April 5th, Avon Grove HS
West Grove, PA – It is rather ironic that on Saturday, April 5th, the HEADstrong Foundation™ will host the 5th Annual Rivalry Games at Avon Grove High School in West Grove, PA. With a new location, boasting 3 turf fields and an overwhelming amount of support from the Avon Grove lacrosse community, the stage is set for an incredible fundraising event combining high school and youth lacrosse.

“The decision to relocate the Rivalry Games from Widener University to Avon Grove High School was a one that made great sense for the future of the event. Making a positive impact and raising funds to support families that are devastated by the realities of cancers is our first and upmost priority. With funds from this event being raised mostly through participation, we challenged ourselves with finding a venue that could give us the ability to increase participation while providing a centralized location to engage schools from Pennsylvania, Maryland, Delaware and New Jersey, allowing for future interstate rivalries to be showcased. In our search we found a great partner in Avon Grove High School, who has embraced the HF mission with open arms.” Michael Colleluori, HF Vice President and Nick’s Brother
The latest in HEADstrong’s arsenal of awareness products will be available to purchase at the event and guests are encouraged to wear lime green. The HF Rivalry Games have been an overwhelming success, attended annually by over 4,000 supporters and generating over $200,000 since its inception.
“Every year we look forward to sharing this special day with the so many teams, players and families. Ironically, this year over 500 athletes will participate in our Rivalry Games, each player representing one of the 500 families who will be devastated by blood cancers daily in the United States. We hope that you will consider spending April 5th with us in effort to make a difference in the lives of those affected by cancers, specifically blood cancers. We wish to extend a special thank you to all of the participating teams and our heartfelt appreciation to Avon Grove High School for helping us to get aHEAD of cancer.” Cheryl Colleluori, HF President and Nick’s Mom
