Eastern PA Chapter of The Leukemia & Lymphoma Society (LLS) Announces The HEADstrong Foundation as Light The Night Walk® Presenting Sponsor

Second-time Presenting Sponsor for Light The Night Philadelphia Walk

Conshohocken, P.A. July 13, 2011 – Light The Night, the signature fundraising campaign for the Eastern Pennsylvania Chapter of The Leukemia & Lymphoma Society (LLS), is pleased to announce The HEADstrong Foundation as the Light The Night Walk $50,000 Presenting Sponsor for 2011. The HEADstrong Foundation made history in 2010 by serving as the chapter’s first ever Presenting Sponsor and is committed to supporting Light The Night once again.

“We are thrilled to welcome back The HEADstrong Foundation to serve in this important role for Light The Night. Our partnership is one that continues to grow and we are proud of the work that they do for blood cancer patients and their families, many of whom LLS also supports,” says Sarah Lindenmuth, Light The Night Campaign Director.

Cheryl Colleluori, President of The HEADstrong Foundation, expresses similar sentiments, “The HEADstrong Foundation is very proud to support the efforts of LLS in memory of Nick Colleluori. Our organizations have similar missions — to cure blood cancers and improve the quality of life for patients and their families. The Colleluori family will continue to fight the disease that took our son and brother from us. This is one way for our family to stay connected to Nick with the hope that other families may be spared the anguish of this disease.”

In addition to the $50,000 sponsorship, The HEADstrong Foundation has formed a Walk team to participate in the Philadelphia Light The Night Walk at The Art Museum on Saturday, October 22, 2011. HEADstrong supporters will attend the walk sporting their signature lime green and walk together in memory of their beloved Nick and in support of the one million Americans currently living with blood cancers.

“Forming a Light The Night Walk team is the easiest way to get involved and make an impact. Simply gather friends, family or co-workers, appoint a team captain and contact Light The Night staff to help get you started,” says Lindenmuth. “We are here to help every step of the way.”
