HEADstrong seeking Fundraising Specialist

HEADstrong Foundation is currently seeking a full-time Fundraising Specialist to become an integral part of our team! The candidate will be responsible for organizing activities to raise funds, solicit and gather monetary donations. This person will manage key relationships with partners, team captains and top fundraisers to maximize recruitment, retention, and revenue. They will collaborate to build awareness and drive recruitment.
The HEADstrong Foundation™ is a 501(c)(3) committed to being a resource for cancer patients and their families, helping them to navigate the harrowing ordeal of cancer by providing essential services to improve quality of life.

ESSENTIAL FUNCTIONS OF THE POSITION:
Works with management and other staff, to execute tactics that drive recruitment, retention, and revenue.
Responsible for the cultivation of friends and family or teams to drive recruitment, maximize fundraising potential, and instill a strong sense of community.
Collaborates to implement participation plan encourage increased philanthropic activity and support.

Coordinates efforts to reconnect and empower influencers to help reach organizational goals and objectives through fundraising programs and initiatives.
Drive grassroot recruitment of fundraising initiatives.
Coordinates and expands individual outreach to include incentives and recognition of milestones in order to increase annual retention rate and participant referrals.
Responsible for the identification and cultivation of team participants.
Executes grassroots marketing strategies and “teams” designed to drive peer-to-peer recruitment.

Assists in monitoring the phone line and email inbox and provides excellent customer service to include interaction via phone and email, proactive contact plan, regular communications, fundraising advice, and technical/general support.
Assists with special projects and performs additional duties as assigned.

REQUIRED EDUCATION AND EXPERIENCE:
3 years of professional experience in nonprofit development, fundraising, endurance and/or peer-to-peer programs.

Bachelor’s degree in nonprofit administration, communications, marketing or related field.
Passion for HEADstrong Foundation’s commitment to providing services for those affected by cancer.

REQUIRED KNOWLEDGE, SKILLS, AND ABILITIES:
* Excellent fundraising, donor cultivation, community engagement, and project management skills.
* Excellent written and verbal communication skills, customer service skills, and organizational skills.
* Proficiency in Microsoft Office. Familiarity with social media, database software, and other online fundraising platforms, non-profit CRM.

PHYSICAL REQUIREMENTS AND WORKING CONDITIONS:
Ability to operate computer for most of workday with appropriate rest periods.
Ability to work extended hours, including evenings and weekends and occasional overnight travel.

Valid driver’s license and driving record which meets HITWG insurance carrier requirements. Ability to travel to assigned worksites.
Ability to work outdoor events in varied weather conditions, and lift and carry materials up to forty pounds.
