HEADstrong Fall Event Series Returns With 15 Events
(Philadelphia, Penn., September 9, 2024) – The HEADstrong Foundation is pleased to announce that the Fall Event Series will return for a 17th year with 15 events this September, October and November.ย ย
โWe are so incredibly excited for the Fall Event Series this year, especially in so many new locations,โ HEADstrong President, and Nickโs mom, Cheryl Colleluori said. โThere is no better way for us to honor Nickโs life and legacy than on the lacrosse field that he loved so much.โ
To kick everything off, the Fall Event Series will head to High Point University on September 29th when the womenโs lacrosse team will host Campbell and Queens of Charlotte. The next weekend the UMass womenโs lacrosse will host Dartmouth, Vermont, Bryant, Sacred Heart and Holy Cross on October 5th. That same weekend, the event returns to where it all began with two Nick Colleluori Classics at Hofstra University on October 5th and 6th. On Saturday, the Hofstra menโs lacrosse team will host St. Bonaventure and Manhattan while on Sunday the Hofstra womenโs team will host Bucknell, Fairleigh Dickinson, Manhattan and Stony Brook. Also on October 5th, the Lafayette menโs lacrosse team will host LIU, Monmouth and Villanova.ย
The following weekend the Fall Event Series will head to Maryland with the Johns Hopkins menโs lacrosse team hosting NJIT and Air Force and the womenโs lacrosse team hosting Stanford and Navy. The next weekend the event will return to Massachusetts as the Boston University menโs lacrosse program will host UMass and Bryant on October 19th.ย
October 26th will see four events taking place, with Virginia Military Institute hosting Washington and Lee and Newberry, Lawrence menโs lacrosse hosting Minnesota and College of DuPage and the Towson menโs lacrosse team hosting High Point, NJIT and Mount St. Maryโs at the Severn School in Maryland. Also on October 26th, there will be an event at the WSFS Bank Sportplex in Chester, PA with Arcadia and Haverford serving as hosts and featuring Washington College, Chestnut Hill, Widener, Kean, DeSales, Harford Community College, Adelphi, Salisbury, Franklin and Marshall and Susquehanna.ย
The following day there will be an additional three events, as the York menโs lacrosse program will host Muhlenberg, St. Maryโs and Catholic while the Rutgers menโs program will host Bryant and Brown. The Duke womenโs program hosts Virginia Tech, Queens of Charlotte, Vanderbilt, Liberty, Davidson, High Point, South Florida and North Carolina.ย
The fall event series will wrap up on November 2nd when the Tampa menโs lacrosse team will host Saint Leo, Florida Institute of Technology, Lynn, Rollins and Embry Riddle.
Entry to each event is $10 per person and will go directly to HEADstrongโs mission of assisting families affected by cancer. Teams participating at each location will also be fundraising, with their efforts going directly to local families that HEADstrong is assisting. Those funds will be presented to a family at each location at a special presentation in between games by members of the Colleluori family and HEADstrong representatives.ย
