HEADstrong offers services to patients and their families beyond just those surrounding fundraisers and events that raise money for our organization. If you or a loved one is interested in looking for a financial assistance program, HEADstrong may be able to help you! Since starting this program, we have been able to allocate over $500,000 to over 1,000 families fighting cancer. At HEADstrong, we want to help aid you and your family in any way we can. That is why we offer two different financial assistance services depending on your needs, qualifications, and treatments. These programs allow you to choose how you want to engage with us as well as will help determine the best kind of financial assistance based on what you qualify for.
What Kinds of Cancer Patient Financial Assistance Programs Does HEADstrong Offer?
For those in the Chester area looking for cancer patient financial assistance programs, HEADstrong offers two different options that can help aid those in need of financial assistance when receiving treatments.
The Nicholas E. Colleluori Financial Aid Fund: This fund is aimed at providing support to those fighting various forms of blood cancer in need of financial assistance. These types of blood cancer include:
- Lymphoma
- Leukemia
- Multiple Myeloma
- Myelodysplastic Syndromes
- Myeloproliferative Neoplasms
To qualify, you must meet a certain household income. Those who apply and are at least 200% below the federal poverty limit will be eligible to receive aid from us. Here are the federal poverty guidelines as they currently stand:
Household Size 200% | |
1 | $25,760 |
2 | $34,840 |
3 | $43,920 |
4 | $53,000 |
5 | $62,080 |
We also offer resources for those who may not qualify with these guidelines. To find out more about additional resources for families who do not qualify for financial assistance, go to the financial assistance form and select “other” at the top of the page.
Financial Relief Funds: The second option we to help you and your loved ones is through the creation of a financial relief fund. Our financial relief fund program allows you to work directly with us to create a fund campaign where your friends and family can donate. Even if you do not qualify for the first financial assistance program, a financial relief fund may be a great option to help ease the financial burden while undergoing treatment. If you are interested in applying for a financial relief fund for you or a loved one, visit our Financial Relief Fund Form to apply!
