Men’s Nick Colleluori Classic at Johns Hopkins
October 14, 2017
The Men’s Nick Colleluori Classic Baltimore now in its 3rd year hosted by Johns Hopkins University is a special collegiate lacrosse event honoring the life and legacy of Nick “HEAD” Colleluori. Colleluori was a lacrosse player entering his sophomore year at Hofstra when he was terminally diagnosed with non-Hodgkin’s Lymphoma. His public fight from the sidelines captivated the nation and from his hospital bed he created the HEADstrong Foundation to help improve lives affected by cancer. In addition to supporting local families, this event will also support the expansion of Nick’s House, a family home located in Swarthmore, PA that provides complimentary lodging for families displaced to the Greater Philadelphia Region seeking potentially lifesaving cancer treatments at area hospitals. Nick’s House is a home away from home for families from all over the country, allowing them to pursue the most innovative and advanced treatments while having the comfort and embrace of a loving community when they are so far away from their own.
Special thanks to all past and present teams for their dedication and handwork in fundraising to make this event a huge success!
