Cancer Awareness Night at Citizens Bank Park Exceeds Expectations

Cancer Awareness Night at Citizens Bank Park

The HEADstrong Foundation would like to thank the 500 plus people who attend the Philadelphia Phillies game on Tuesday, September 1, 2009. Our goals were a fun-filled night of baseball and raise funds for research.

We are pleased to announce that we surpassed our fundraising goal and more importantly, we raised awareness about blood cancer as thousands of Phillies fans learned about Nick’s Legacy & the HEADstrong Foundation Mission via Phanavision. The evening was highlighted by Michael Colleluori sporting his lime green HEADstrong Foundation shirt and shoe laces throwing out the 1st pitch. It was a win/win situation for the Phillies and the HEADstrong Foundation.

Special heartfelt thanks to board members Larry Leary and Kyle Garzia who went above and beyond to make this event a success. With your continued support, we plan to make this an annual event. Please take a moment to enjoy some photos of the night.

Thank you so much for helping us get a”HEAD” of cancer.
